JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) - Investigators have arrested a man who they say was involved in an "elaborate theft ring" operating in northeast Florida and south Georgia.
The Florida Times-Union reports investigators tracked two stolen north Florida school buses to Gainesville after they found two other buses stolen in Georgia outside Jacksonville's EverBank Field during the annual Florida-Georgia football game last Saturday.
On Monday the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrested 44-year-old Alphonso Bernard Rock on multiple counts of stolen motor vehicles and altered or removed tags.
Officials say Rock is the owner of 95 South Tours and Transportation. They say the two buses stolen in Georgia last month were being used as shuttles during the football game. The other two buses were stolen in Flagler County in August.
An investigation continues.
