BUFORD, Ga. (AP) - Police say a federal park ranger wounded in a shooting may have be the accidental victim of a single bullet fired in a woman's suicide.

WSB-TV reports Gwinnett County police say they have only found one bullet casing from the scene at Lower Buford Dam Park. That's where D.P. Wright, a U.S. park ranger, was shot in the stomach late Wednesday and 34-year-old Qiana Moore was found dead after she apparently shot herself. Police also found a suicide note.

Gwinnett County Police Cpl. Jake Smith says investigators are trying to determine if Moore shot herself and the same bullet passed through her car window and struck Wright in the stomach.

Police say the ranger approached Moore's truck to tell her the park was closed when he was shot.
