PERRY, Ga. (AP) - A man behind a Houston County contract killing has been sentenced to life without parole plus 10 additional years.

The Macon Telegraph (http://bit.ly/1DitJ76 ) reports 36-year-old Devasko Lewis was convicted on April 17 for malice murder and conspiracy to commit murder, among other charges. Lewis was accused of hiring Jamarcus Clark to kill federal witness Corey Daniels on Jan. 14, 2014. Clark killed Daniels' nephew, Kerry Glenn, by mistake.

Clark, who testified against Lewis at his trial, is serving a life sentence with parole for his involvement.

Lewis was a former Cordele trucking company owner. Federal prosecutors said in court Daniels was the front man behind the company Lewis had been ordered to shut down but continued to operate.
