MARTINEZ, Ga. (AP) - A Columbia County sheriff's deputy has been fired after being accused of driving under the influence.
The Augusta Chronicle (http://bit.ly/1E79ieY ) reports 28-year-old Christopher Cody Connor was pulled over Monday night in Martinez. In a news release, a deputy says Connor was speeding and unable to stay in the lane. Connor admitted to having a few drinks and refused all standardized field sobriety tests.

Columbia County sheriff's deputy Capt. Steve Morris says Connor was fired Tuesday morning.
It is unclear if Connor has a lawyer.
