ATLANTA (AP) - Atlanta police say a would-be carjacker ended up getting held at gunpoint by his intended victim.

WSB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1EnIu9k ) Hashim Fannin was parking outside a Family Dollar store earlier this month when a man slid into the passenger seat and said, "You know what this is."

Fannin says he drew his gun and made the man lie face-down in the parking lot. Cellphone video of the encounter shows Fannin holding his handgun and saying, "Just stay there and wait for the police. It's that simple."

In the video, the man insists he wasn't trying to rob Fannin. "I thought you were my friend," he says.

Police arrested 61-year-old Edgar Horn and charged him with attempted robbery and entering an auto. It wasn't immediately known if Horn had an attorney.
