ATLANTA (AP) - Georgia Department of Driver Services officials plan to offer motorcycle license testing at a rally later this month.

Department officials said in a statement Tuesday that the Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program will offer the testing at the Southern Cruisers Rally in Commerce on July 20.

Department Commissioner Rob Mikell urges all riders to get licensed and trained.

No appointment is necessary to be tested at the rally. Those who pass will get their Georgia Class M license through a 90-day license test waiver that they can present at any of the department's customer service centers to get a license.

The Georgia Motorcycle Safety Program offers rider education and licensing programs and also promotes motorist awareness and focuses on highway safety issues that affect motorcyclists.
