ATLANTA (AP) - Five Georgia schools are gearing up to participate in the second annual Feed My School for a Week program.
The program, run by the Georgia Department of Agriculture, is aimed at teaching children about proper nutrition and healthy eating habits.
Part of the program for 2013 includes serving lunches that feature foods grown in Georgia. The program includes taste tests, guest speakers and contests.
West Chatham Elementary School in Pooler, Skyview Elementary School in Lizella, Sharon Elementary in Suwanee, Colbert Elementary in Colbert, and Southside Elementary School in Cairo have been selected for the program.
