DOTHAN, Ala. (AP) - Houston County Circuit Court officials say a Georgia man has been sentenced to life in prison after pleading guilty to raping two teenage girls.

The Dothan Eagle reported Monday that Judge Brad Mendheim sentenced 25-year-old Kent Parker to four life sentences on four first degree rape charges that will be served concurrently.

He ordered the sentences to be served consecutively to a 10-year prison term Parker was ordered to serve in Georgia.

District Attorney Kristen Shields says Parker, of Donaldsonville, Ga., had nearly 10 prior felony convictions in the state ranging from breaking and entering to aggravated assault. He was arrested in May of 2012.
