GEORGIA (WTXL) - Georgia state leaders, along with Governor Nathan Deal, say they are working to improve Georgia’s talent pool.
This comes after concerns from companies all over the state.
A new report, released today, lays out some of those options to improve workers' basic and technical skills.
Officials say they plan to push for more HOPE grants and new training programs for high-demanding jobs.
Companies have said it is difficult to find people with the right skills in Georgia for some of those high demand jobs as older workers retire.
Today's recommendations come after 13 meetings with representatives of more than 80 companies.
