Georgia Supreme Court Releases Opinions for Court Rulings

ATLANTA, Ga. (WTXL)-- The Georgia Supreme Court has released it's opinion on several cases, two of these in Grady and Lowndes County.

The state supreme court held up the felony murder conviction of Michael Angelo Foster who was found guilty back in 2002 of murdering his Girlfriend's 15 month old baby boy, in Grady County.

Foster argued that there was not sufficient evidence to convict him, but the jusge disagreed. He is now serving a life sentence. 

In Lowndes, the Georgia Supreme Court upheld the murder and armed robebry conviction of Deron Wallace, but found the trial court had made a sentencing error in charging him with theft by taking. That charge was and sentence was thrown out, but Wallace was found guilty of the 2013 shooting death of Robert Pett.
