Atlanta, GA (WTXL)-- Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens announced today that Georgia has joined with several other states and the federal government to settle allegations that Shire Pharmaceuticals, LLC engaged in off-label marketing campaigns.
The drug company will pay the states and federal government $56.5 million to resolve allegations that the company unlawfully marketed Adderall, Vyvanse, Daytrona, Lialda, and Pentasa.
Georgia's share of the settlement is over $1.78 million.
Olens commented on the settlement today, saying "My office continues to hold pharmaceutical companies responsible for how they market products."
