LOWNDES COUNTY. GA. (WTXL) — Moody Air Force Base is cracking down on security by suspending their Trusted Traveler Program.

In a Facebook post, Moody Air Force Base stated that if you are visiting the base, "everyone inside your vehicle will need to present their driver's license ID or valid photo ID with an approved base pass."

Valid driver's license holders who wish to escort/sponsor non-license holders in there vehicles will be required to park and visit the Visitor Control Center or an installation gate during the Visitor Control Center non-operating hours to acquire a visitor’s pass.

Authorities say all non-license holders will be required to present a government form of identification and will be put through a criminal background check in order to receive a visitor’s pass.

If an individual doesn't have a valid form of ID or have a questionable criminal record they will be denied access to the base.

Moody Air Force Base is urging driver's to ask everyone in their vehicle to have their ID's ready for the defender at the gate.

If you have questions regarding how to obtain base access, please contact the Visitor Control Center at 229-257-4443.
