JACKSON, Ga. (WTXL) — If you've ever spent a day in the South, you know the region is home to unique weather patterns.
Apparently, according to Georgia's official groundhog weather prognosticator, this year will be no different.
Georgia's groundhog, known as General Beauregard Lee, made his prediction for an early spring from the Dauset Trails Nature Center Tuesday morning.

Lee's prediction is the opposite of the nationally known Punxsutawney Phil's, who told the nation to expect six more weeks of winter.
As for who's prediction is right, we'll soon see in the coming weeks.
