NASHVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A boat manufacturer in Nashville, Georgia is expanding, and will create 50 new jobs.

Chaparral and its subsidiary Robalo have created a new line of vortex jet boats.

Chaparral employs about 600 Georgians. It's Berrien County's largest employer.

The company contributes an estimated $155 million in annual economic impact.

“This expansion by Chaparral Boats underscores how well Georgia’s No. 1 business climate supports existing businesses,” said Georgia Governor Nathan Deal. “With access to a widely recognized logistics infrastructure and a highly-trained workforce, Georgia offers the tools necessary to keep companies competitive in the United States and in the global marketplace.”
