Georgia DFCS closes several offices due to inclement weather

GEORGIA (WTXL) - The Georgia Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) will be closed in several Georgia counties. 

The following county offices will be closed on Wednesday due to inclement weather:

  • Atkinson
  • Bacon
  • Ben Hill
  • Berrien
  • Brantley
  • Brooks
  • Bryan
  • Bulloch
  • Camden
  • Charlton
  • Chatham
  • Clinch
  • Coffee
  • Cook
  • Echols
  • Effingham
  • Glynn
  • Irwin
  • Lanier
  • Liberty
  • Long
  • McIntosh
  • Lowndes
  • Pierce
  • Tift
  • Turner
  • Ware

Constituents in these counties can seek assistance through their website. To report child abuse and/or neglect, call 1-855-GACHILD.

Child abuse and/or neglect reports are taken 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

For questions regarding Food Stamps, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) or other eligibility services, constituents can call the online services hotline at 1-877-423-4746.

Offices will reopen Thursday at 10 a.m.
