(WTXL) - A commission tasked with examining potential replacements for Georgia's outdated election system is preparing to make recommendations to lawmakers.
The Secure, Accessible and Fair Elections, or SAFE Commission, was formed in April and is expected to make recommendations before the legislative session begins January 14.
Whatever changes they recommend, the SAFE commissioners all agree that a new system should be in place by the 2020 election cycle.
