GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office is showing their appreciation for their Correctional Officers.
The National Correction Officer Appreciation Luncheon was held at the jail's multi-purpose room.
Gadsden County Sheriff Morris A. Young says this is a special week for the community.
"A lot of times nobody is telling them a job well done because their job never stops," said Sheriff Young. "A day like today, not only today, but all week we have to show them that hey they are special."
The first full week of May is recognized as National Corrections Officer week and has been since 1984, it was given the designation by former President Ronald Reagan.
