GCSO arrest woman after two-year-old daughter found alone, wandering street

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A woman was arrested after witnesses found her 2-year-old daughter wandering the streets by herself. 

Marissa Davidson, 28, was arrested by the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office.

On March 29, GCSO responded to Shady Rest Road in Quincy regarding a 2-year-old female toddler who was found wandering alone in the road without any adult supervision.  

Three witnesses stated that they saw the female toddler on the side of the road and they immediately stopped to get her to safety.  

The child was able to show the witnesses where she lived and stated that Davidson was asleep and wouldn’t wake up.

Deputies then went to the home where they found Davidson inside the house sleeping and woke her up. 

Davidson stated that she was on drugs and had taken meth the previous night. 

Davidson was charged and booked in the Gadsden County Jail for culpable negligence exposing to harm and gross child neglect.
