THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL)--A Thomasville man is in jail after his girlfriend is found lying on a road July 29. Jennifer Mims later died.
Michael Jason Lewis is charged with leaving the scene of an accident.
GBI agents say Mims was found unconscious and bleeding on Stewart Street.
She died after hitting her head on the road.
Agents say Lewis was her boyfriend and that he was driving the pick-up truck she was in.
They say it's not clear if she jumped out or was pushed out.
Lewis is in jail on a $750 bond.
