DECATUR, Ga. (WTXL)--The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is trying to identify people who cashed stolen checks several Bank of America locations in Fulton and Clayton counties.
The GBI says the checks appear to be stolen from a person in North Carolina who had ordered new checks but never received them. The total amount stolen when the checks were deposited in March of last year was nearly $15,000. It appears the stolen checks were cashed using stolen account information of other people living in the Atlanta area.
The GBI needs help identifying the people in the photos. The photos were taken from banks in metro Atlanta. If you have information, please call the Atlanta GBI office at (770) 338-5019.
