DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) - A Georgia Bureau of Investigation employee has resigned after posing in a picture with a victim's remains.
According to our ABC affiliate WSB-TV, Robert Page was dismembered and his body was hidden by a 25-year-old man named Christian Ponce-Martinez.
A photo of a GBI employee taking a picture with Page's head was passed around the office before an investigation began.
Family members of the victim told WSB-TV that they are upset the employee was allowed to resign rather than being fired.
The employee who also took the picture resigned.
The GBI told WSB-TV that it is against company policy for personal photos to be taken in the medical examiner's office.
