TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - All around the Capital City, gas stations were filled with long lines.

Some gas stations even temporarily ran out of gas.

Monday night lines were shorter than what they were earlier in the day.

Earlier WTXL spoke with residents who said they wanted to fuel up ahead of the storm and weren't expecting to see everyone else doing the same.

According to Triple A, the average price per gallon in the state of Florida is $2.82.

Tallahassee urges you to look out for and report any price gouging.

To report cases of price gouging, go to the Florida Attorney General’s Office by calling 1 (866) 9NO-SCAM or visiting MyFloridaLegal.com.

State law prohibits extreme increases in the price of essential commodities, such as food, water, hotels, ice, gasoline, lumber and equipment, needed as a direct result of an officially declared emergency.
