(WTXL) - Here's a warning to drivers this Labor Day weekend about rising gas prices.
Harvey's damage has elevated nationwide gas prices.
The U.S. bureau of Safety and Environmental Enforcement says workers have been removed from the manned platforms used to pump oil and gas from beneath the Gulf of Mexico.
The agency estimates that platforms accounting for about 23 percent of both oil production and natural gas output have been shut down.
It's predicted that prices could rise by up to 25 cents a gallon.
