Garbage and Recycling Pick-Up Changes for Thanksgiving Weekend

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Clean up might be the last thing on your mind ahead of Thanksgiving, but thanks to this holiday weekend, your garbage and recycling pick-up days may be affected.

People in Tallahassee and Wakulla neighborhoods can expect their garbage serviced one day later than regularly scheduled.

You're garbage may have picked up Wednesday, but if it wasn't then your day is on Friday.

Garbage and recycling containers should both be rolled to the curb for pickup by 6:30 a.m. on collection day, with both containers returned to the home no later than the day after collection.

In Valdosta neighborhoods, you can expect normal collection times.

Officials are asking that you should place your green roll outs are at the curbside by 5 a.m. on Thursday, to make sure your garbage is collected.

Recyclables and yard waste for Thursday and Friday routes will be collected on Friday.
