WAKULLA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Florida Division of Emergency Management is reporting that 15,000 gallons of raw sewage has spilled in Crawfordville.

They said that the spill happened at a lift station on 57 Sopchoppy Highway around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

FDEM said that the spill was caused by a blockage, but the spill was contained on-site at the water reclamation facility.

Officials said that they were able to clean up 9,000 gallons of the sewage. The spill did not affect any storm water systems or any sources of drinking water.

There were no injuries reported in the spill. Officials say that the clean-up process is complete.
