3,000 gallons of raw sewage spilled in Gadsden County

GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Due to a power failure from Hurricane Michael, officials say 3,000 gallons of raw sewage was released in Gadsden County. 

Florida Department of Environmental Protection officials say 3,000 gallons of raw sewage was released from a two lift stations in Gretna on Oct. 12 due to a power failure from Hurricane Michael.  

No storm drains or waterways were affected and cleanup efforts were completed the next day. 

The lift station is back on line power.
