COLUMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - A missing 14-year-old girl who authorities believe is at risk for human trafficking may be near our area.
The Gainesville Police Department says they are looking for 14-year-old Coyoete Turner. They say she ran away from her foster home in Gainesville on Oct. 21.
Officials say the teen is a frequent runaway and is at risk for human trafficking.
Turner is described as a white 14-year-old female around 5-foot-2 tall, weighing around 120 pounds.
GPD says the teen is familiar with the Lake City area and has family ties there. They say she normally heads north after running away to try to get to Lake City.
People who see her are asked to call your local law enforcement agency or Detective Holt at 352-393-7606.
The Suwannee County Sheriff's Office shared GPD's flyer on their Facebook page Wednesday morning. They say Turner is originally from Lake City but has ties to Gilchrist County.
