GADSDEN Co., FL (WTXL) - The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office has partnered with an organization hoping to help those suffering from Alzheimer's, autism, and other related conditions or disorders.
Project Lifesaver is a group that is providing wrist or ankle transmitters that emit an tracking signal that can help find those wearing the devices that have wandered off, according to the Sheriff's Office.
If the person goes missing, the family notifies Project Lifesaver who sends a trained team to the location of the wandered. According to Deputies, those who use Project Lifesaver are found at an average of 30 minutes.
