Gadsden County has extended the deadline for waived permit fees until Jan. 15, 2019. The county said this effort is to ensure that citizens can rebuild and recover following damages caused by Hurricane Michael.
Homeowners and licensed contractors may take advantage of this service for storm-related related damages and repairs like electrical and roof damage and for the demolition of uninhabitable lawful structures. Permit fees for all other work still applies.
Gadsden County said debris removal continues in each county district simultaneously. 359 trucks are working daily and making multiple passes to ensure all debris is picked up.
