GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The superintendent of Gadsden County Schools is scheduled to present a turnaround plan for the new Gadsden County High School to the state board of education on Monday.

Superintendent Roger Milton has chosen to go with a district-managed turnaround plan to improve the school's academic performance.

East and West Gadsden high schools both earned "D" grades this year. Neither school has had a higher grade since 2013.

The turnaround option is part of the state's new education law that addresses chronically low-performing schools.
