GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - In Gadsden County, at least two schools will have new principals in the fall.

Tuesday night, the school board will vote to approve both positions for the upcoming academic year.

Here's what we know about these individuals:

They were both vice principals at Gadsden County High School.

Maurice Stokes and Pamela Jones were part of a team that saved that school from being operated by an outside company. And now, they're in line to lead schools on their own.

Stokes and Jones helped celebrate the high school's improvement last month.

Stokes was the principal at St. John Elementary, but when the school closed last year, he joined the team at Gadsden County High. He'll take over as principal at James A. Shanks Middle School, pending the board's approval.

Jones worked at Shanks for 10 years before coming to the new high school.

In fact, both Stokes and Jones worked with Juliette Fisher-Jackson at Shanks ten years ago when it was a high school. They helped improve that school's letter grade, too.
