QUINCY, Fla. (WTXL) -- It's decision day in Gadsden County. Tuesday night, the school board is set to vote on reconfiguring the district.

Superintendent Roger Milton announced at the last school board meeting that he had changed his mind, and would recommend a vote for consolidation for the upcoming school year.

The proposal was released to the public Friday afternoon. It calls for one high school in the county and the closure of two elementary schools.

Milton told us over the phone the board may still be split on the proposal but will continue to move forward, no matter the vote.

The special meeting will be held at 7 p.m. at the district's headquarters in Quincy.

WTXL ABC 27's Stephen Jiwanmall will be there. He'll have a full report in your news at 11.
