GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Gadsden County residents voted Tuesday in municipal elections.
Seats were contested Chattahoochee, Gretna, Havana and Quincy. Greensboro is the only area that was uncontested.
Results were provided by Gadsden County Supervisor of Elections Shirley Green Knight.
In Chattahoochee's General Election, people voted for City Council members in three races.
- In District 1, Anquarnette "Ann" Richardson received 68 of the 101 votes cast and Annette Holmes Bates 33 votes.
- In District 3, Amy M. Glass received 90 of the 132 votes cast and Edward Jerry Wynn 42 votes.
- In a third race, Ann Williams received 291 of the 444 votes cast and Lorrin Bernard Howell 153 votes.
In Gretna's primary election, people voted for City Commissioner seats 1 and 3.
- In the City Commissioner Seat 1 race, Evelyn "Bea" Riley-Goldwire received 181 of the 342 votes cast, Marsha Jackson Fitzgerald 99 votes and Nadine Wright-Reed 62 votes.
- In the City Commissioner Seat 3 race, Jeff McNealy received 194 of the 341 votes cast and Johnnie House Jr. 147 votes.
In Havana's general election, people voted for Town Council Member Group 4 and Group 6. About 43 percent of the 1,427 registered voters cast ballots.
- In Group 4, Nick Bert received 372 of the 608 votes cast and Ben Golden Jr. 236 votes.
- In Group 6, Eddie Bass received 342 of the 614 votes cast and Phyllis D. Thomas 272 votes.
In Quincy's preliminary election, the City Commissioner district 3 race, Ronte Harris got 282 of the 474 votes cast while Derrick D. Elias got 192 votes. Voter turnout was about 42 percent of the 1,136 registered voters.
