GADSDEN CO., Fla. (WTXL) - On Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014, the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners will hold a dedication ceremony to welcome new fire trucks to the fleet of Gadsden County's emergency vehicles. The ceremony begins at 10 a.m. at the Robertsville-St. Johns Volunteer Fire Department, 162 Hutchinson Ferry Rd., Quincy, FL 32351.

The two state-of-the-art fire trucks have been purchased thanks to the combined group effort of the Gadsden Co. Board of County Commissioners, USDA Rural Development and both Robertsville-St. Johns and Mt. Pleasant Volunteer Fire Departments.

According to Olivia Smith, spokesperson for the Gadsden County Board of County Commissioners, the fire trucks will provide a much needed service to both communities, whose fire stations were home to the oldest fire trucks in the County.
