GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Gadsden County Commissioners discussed changing alcohol regulations they say are hurting economic growth.
An ordinance proposes to reduce the distance between businesses that sell alcohol and schools or places of worship.
One commissioner promised a vote toward keeping the provisions from extending to more provocative establishments. Another commented that you cannot legislate morality.
Adopting the ordinance could increase the county's revenue by as much as $8 million.
The board tabled the discussion until the second week in June.
