GADSDEN CO., Fla. (WTXL) -- The Gadsden County School District handed out three awards today for Teacher of the Year, Rookie Teacher of the Year, and School-Related Employee of the Year.
This morning, Superintendent Reginald James went to the schools where the winners worked, and presented them with the awards.
Melisa Horton, a 6th grade English teacher at Havana Middle, was chosen as Teacher of the Year.
Danielle Anderson, who teaches chemistry at East Gadsden High, was selected as the Rookie Teacher of the Year.
Finally, the School-Related Employee of the Year award was given to Lakysha Perkins, the Principal's Administrative Assistant at East Gadsden High.
