GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - Gadsden County has announced the following holiday closures and service changes in observance of New Year’s Day.
Closed Monday, December 31, and Tuesday, January 1:
- Gadsden County Offices
- Gadsden County Libraries (all branches)
- Gadsden County Public Works
- Gadsden County Mosquito Control
- Gadsden County Animal Control
Remain Open for the Holidays
Gadsden County parks and recreation facilities (parks and boat landings)

The William A. McGill Library in Quincy was closed on Saturday, December 29, at 5 p.m. and the Havana and Chattahoochee Public Library branches were closed at 3 p.m. All library branches will resume normal business hours on Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2019.
In the event of an animal-related emergency, service is available by calling the Gadsden County Sheriff’s Office at (850) 875-8811. Gadsden County Animal Control encourages residents to only use this service in cases of dangerous or aggressive dogs, sick or injured domestic animals, animal cruelty or animal bites. Injured wildlife calls will be forwarded to the St. Francis Wildlife Association at (850) 627-4151.
