STARKE, Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County man convicted of murdering his wife and 10-year old step daughter has been executed.
According to the Associated Press, Chadwick Banks, 43, was pronounced dead at 7:27 p.m. Thursday after a successful lethal injection at Florida State Prison in Starke.
Banks was convicted of murdering his wife, Cassandra Banks, before raping and killing his stepdaughter in 1992.
Banks is now the 20th inmate executed in Florida during Governor Rick Scott's first four years in office -- a record in one term for a governor.
