CARTERSVILLE, Ga. (AP) - A Bartow County school board member is free on bond after police say she hit a teenager with her SUV in a dispute over a Walmart parking space.
Police say the unidentified 17-year-old girl was standing in a parking space Friday trying to save it for someone.
Police say the teen and 41-year-old Angela Cornett argued before Cornett hit the girl with her car. Authorities say the incident was recorded on surveillance cameras.
Cornett told the Daily Tribune of Cartersville (http://bit.ly/VhbNGe ) that she never hit the teen and said the girl leaned against her car. A call to Cornett's house was not answered Tuesday.
The teen had a scuff mark to her knee but did not suffer any serious injuries, police said.
Cartersville is about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.
