MACON CO., GA (WALB) - A Georgia teen's prayers were answered recently when she sent up balloons asking for help buying supplies for college.
Mykehia Curry needed some dorm supplies before starting as a freshman at Albany State University this fall.
The Macon teen was unsure about how her family was going to get the money to pay for the items, so she wrote a note to God, attached it to balloons and sent it up.
WMGT reports that Jerome Jones found the balloons and note while working at a construction site.
Jones is also a part-time minister and both he and his church decided to help.
He tracked Mykehia down and delivered a mini-fridge and a comforter to Curry's home Tuesday morning.
"She was like you really going to bring me a refrigerator and I said yes," said Jones.
Mykehia is heading to Albany State to pursue a degree in nursing.
