MILLEDGEVILLE, Ga. (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old boy has been arrested for bringing a gun to his middle school.

Baldwin County Sheriff Bill Massee tells WMAZ-TV that the boy brought the unloaded .25 automatic to Oak Hill Middle School on Thursday (http://on.wmaz.com/1ujY3ke ). Massee says the boy told people that he brought the gun because the youth heard he was going to be "jumped."

The boy was sent to a youth detention center in Sandersville and is expected to appear in juvenile court on Monday.

Massee says the gun was rusty and had no clip. Police believe he found the gun somewhere.
