ALBANY, Ga. (AP) — Federal prosecutors say a former south Georgia school teacher has pleaded guilty to child porn charges.
Officials said in a statement Wednesday that 41-year-old Brian Brannen pleaded guilty to possession of child porn and is expected to be sentenced within about two months.
Authorities say the Dougherty County Sheriff's office was contacted by someone who briefly stayed at Brannen's house who told authorities they had seen child porn on his computer. Authorities executed a search warrant and found 24 video files featuring child pornography on Brannen's computer.
Prosecutors say he faces up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
