Ga. Man Leads Guilty After Impersonating Federal Agent

ATLANTA (AP) - Federal prosecutors say a convicted felon who was impersonating a federal agent when he pulled over an off-duty police officer has pleaded guilty to weapons offenses.

Authorities said Tuesday that 40-year-old Daniel Harbison is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 27.

Prosecutors say Harbison started impersonating a DEA agent earlier this year and conducted a fraudulent traffic stop on April 3 in Doraville.

Authorities say Harbison turned on flashing green and white LED lights when he pulled over an off-duty Doraville police corporal. Prosecutors say Harbison fled after the corporal told him that local law enforcement was coming to the scene to check the validity of his credentials.

Investigators say police found weapons, a fraudulent DEA identification card, LED lights and more when Harbison was arrested.
