GA Gov. Nathan Deal to sign bills in South Georgia

VALDOSTA, Ga. (WTXL) - Georgia Governor Nathan Deal will visit South Georgia on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, to hold signing ceremonies for several new pieces of legislation.

Deal will visit the Valdosta Regional Airport to sign House Bill 998 expanding access to Georgia's Medical School Scholarship Program, and Senate Bill 273 which creates a new review board to examine the issue of maternal mortality.

Deal will also visit Cordele and Albany where he'll sign one bill reforming Georgia's community service boards and another related to the Flint River Drought Protection Act.
