Funeral Services Announced for Tallahassee Firefighter Killed in Jefferson County

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Funeral services have been announced for a Tallahassee firefighter who died after being hit by a car in Jefferson County over the weekend.

Troopers say Captain Brad Deanda was killed after being hit by a car while parked on the side of a road in Jefferson County on Sunday night around 6:55. 

According to Florida Highway Patrol, Joe Louis Forbes was traveling northwest on Texas Hill Road when he hit Captain Bradley Allen Deanda who had parked on the side of the road with headlights on and the engine running.

Troopers say Deanda was taking off his hunting gear outside of the vehicle when he was hit and killed.

The funeral services are as followed:

There will be a visitation on Friday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church on Thomasville Road.

On Saturday, the funeral service will begin at 2 p.m. also at Good Shepherd.

The procession after the service will go to Tallahassee Memory Gardens on North Monroe Street.

In lieu of flowers, a trust fund will be set up for Captain Deanda's sons.
