Funeral Service for Dan Hadders

Daniel Hadders
Posted
TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) -- People gathered today at Lake Ella Park to honor the life of their friend Daniel Hadders who passed away of cancer.

Hadders was previously in charge of a community of homeless people deep in the woods. WTXL previously covered a story on Hadders because he benefited from organizations like "Pat's Pantry" last year after Hurricane Hermine hit.

Dozens of people with different backgrounds shared stories under the shade of oak trees about their friendship with him. He knew many people because he was homeless. Also, he was caring and easy to talk to according to his friends.

That is why those who knew him wanted to celebrate his life the right way. If it were not for his friend Pat, he may not have had the opportunity to have such a special ceremony. Dan connected with many individuals over the years and those people were able to come together and laugh about their stories.
