VALDOSTA, GA (WALB) - On Friday, family and friends of a Valdosta senior mourned his death.
Jaylen Lott, 18, has been described as a respectful, selfless and lovable teen.
Lott died after getting stuck in the surf at a beach in St. Augustine last Sunday. He would have graduated from Lowndes High School on May 26.
Lott planned to go to Valdosta State University in the fall.
Friday's visitation ended at 8 p.m. but a second visitation is scheduled for Saturday at the Godfrey Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The celebration of life will start at 2 p.m. on Sunday and will be held in the sanctuary of New Life Ministries on Inner Perimeter Road in Valdosta.
