TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Thrill seekers have a chance to give back to those in need, while also getting to repel down a 16-story building.
The event is called Over the Edge Tallahassee and it supports programs at Living Harvest, Good Samaritan Network and he Big Bend After Re-Entry Coalition, all groups that help offenders re-enter the community after being incarcerated.
The first 75 people to raise $1,000 get to repel down the Double Tree Hotel in Tallahassee.
The event helps many get away from their past and onto their future.
"I got out of prison and I struggled when I got out of prison and I actually went back to doing some of the same things that got me in trouble until I got to a point where I was able to get into recovery," said Dale White, who was once in prison.
Over the Edge will kick off Thursday and Friday at the Double Tree from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m.
