GADSDEN COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) - The Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce and their Community Foundation are launching a fund to help in Gadsden’s recovery after Hurricane Michael.
The fund will have accountable community oversight, total transparency, and no administration costs. Gadsden County said every dollar will go to essential reliefs in the county.
They said to make checks out to “The Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce Foundation Relief Fund” and send them to the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce at 208 North Adams St. in Quincy, Florida.
A GoFundMe account also is being set up on Thursday to accept online donations. Sachs Media Group is donating its services to build a website for this effort, GadsdenHelp.org, which will launch soon.
The Chamber said they are coordinating with faith-based organizations and relief agencies to aggregate needs and combine efforts to meet them.
