Tallahassee, FL (WTXL) -- Florida State's Progress Coalition is hosting a town hall meeting against Thrasher becoming the next president of the university.
On September 23rd, Senator John Thrasher was voted by the Board of Trustees to become the next Florida State University president.
The Board of Governors must approve the decision for Thrasher before he can become president.
Throughout the presidential search students and faculty have protested the selection of Senator Thrasher.
The "Say NO to a John Thrasher Presidency" town hall meeting is scheduled to take place October 2nd at 7 p.m. in the room 13 of the Williams Building on FSU's campus.
